Iconic Music - Alan Prosser news

Renegades: Dil Davies, Al Scott, Alan Prosser, Ian Kearey
Iconic artist and Oysterband stalwart Alan Prosser has recently announced a new spin-off band, The Rengades. As well as Alan (guitar and vocal) the group features Ian Kearey (ex-Oysterband; mandolin and vocal), Al Scott (Oysterband guest; bass and vocal) and Dil Davies (Oysterband’s drummer).
The four-piece coaslesced at last year’s Big Session festival and, says Alan, “... furthers the format of wild mandolin and guitar over blues and soul grooves.”
Renegades are currently recording an album of original songs with Al Scott producing. The band will debut the new material at The Ranelagh, Brighton, on 8 June before appearing at Big Session, Leicester, on 19 June.
Here is a sneak preview of the band rehearsing:

We all know the saying - 'you can't judge a book by its cover' and so it is with CD recordings - 'can it really be that good live?' is a question we all ask ourselves at some time. So to prove just 'how good' live - Alan has recently uploaded a couple of videos to Youtube featuring his guitar playing and the extraordinary harmonica playing of brendan Power.

This 'dynamic' duo appears only infrequently - but you can catch Alan performing solo during February and you will still be wowed by his dexterity on the guitar.
