Pentangle on Jools Holland - Live

The original line-up of Pentangle - Jacqui McShee, Danny Thompson, John Renbourn, Bert Jansch and Terry Cox - will appear live on Later... With Jools Holland on Tuesday 29 April. The show goes out at 10pm and Pentangle will also feature on the recorded show the following Friday.

It's going to be a full year for Jacqui McShee. Not only is her own band, Jacqui McShee's Pentangle, touring in the autumn but she is also appearing with the original 1968 line-up for a series of reunion gigs (see elsewhere on the site).

Jacqui has enjoyed a career spanning more than 40 years but she is really looking forward to being so busy. The autumn tour starts on 5 September and runs til early October, covering Scotland, Wales, the south-east and the far west.

One highlight of the tour will be a show at Hall For Cornwall, the prestigious Truro venue, on 20 September. As usual, the Jacqui McShee's Pentangle autumn tour will feature a support act.

Pentangle at Royal Festival Hall

The original Pentangle line-up at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in February 2007

The original 1960s line-up of Pentangle will perform an anniversary concert in London's Royal Festival Hall on 29 June 2008. The gig will be take place forty years to the day after Pentangle recorded the live album Sweet Child at the venue.

The band will feature founding members Jacqui McShee (vocals), Bert Jansch (guitar), John Renbourn (guitar), Danny Thompson (bass) and Terry Cox (drums).
