Fairport's Cropredy Convention on YouTube

Recently, we've been working with Fairport Convention and television director Mike Rowbottom to produce a mini-documentary about Fairport's Cropredy Convention music festival. Using footage professionally shot for the band's Fairport @ Forty DVD, we have assembled a nine-minute video which captures the unique atmosphere of this annual three-day event.

The video gives an authentic taste of Cropredy. Shot in the concert arena, campsites, backstage area and around the village, the film captures the festival's buzz as experienced by the festival-goers. There are also music clips and interviews with Cropredy guests including Seth Lakeman, Jools Holland, Lulu, Mike Harding, Geoff Hughes and Frank Skinner.

Although the video was conceived as an aid to marketing the festival, we know many festival fans will enjoy it. So our friends at the Banbury Guardian newspaper have put the Cropredy video on their website. The paper's webmasters have used our original DVD-quality cut and it can be viewed here with the Banbury Guardian video player.
