Iconic 's Fairport launch

Fairport Convention is releasing a brand new album on Monday, 12 February to celebrate the band's fortieth anniversary year. Fittingly titled Sense of Occasion, the new CD is on the Matty Grooves label and will be distributed to retailers by Proper Music Distribution Ltd.

Fairport has commissioned Iconic Music to assist with both the launch of the new album and publicity for the fortieth anniversary.

As well as preparing media packs and despatching review copies of Sense of Occasion to the press and broadcasters, we have organised two events for the launch day.

The first event is an invitation-only media launch at the BBC Club in London's West End. Fairport will perform a showcase of songs from the album, meet'n'greet journalists, and distribute copies of Sense of Occasion. Bona fide journalists and broadcasters only are invited to contact us for more information.

We have also set up a second showcase in association with our colleagues at Proper Music Distribution. This one is open to all and will take place at 7pm on Monday 12 February at retailer FOPP's flagship London record store, 222 Tottenham Court Road (nearest tube: Goodge Street).

Although the FOPP showcase is a public event, we expect a large attendance so please turn up early. Wristbands for admission will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis.
