Top ten double for Fairport

Following a joint launch campaign by Iconic Music and Proper Music Distribution, legendary folkrock band Fairport Convention has achieved a double 'top ten' placing in the folk chart compiled from sales in Virgin Megastores. The top ten was broadcast on Mike Harding's BBC Radio 2 programme on Wednesday 21 February.

The re-issue of Fairport's 1977 album Bonny Bunch of Roses is at number 8 while the brand new CD Sense of Occasion leaps straight in at number 4.

The top spot is held by Freedom Fields by Seth Lakeman.
