Banbury gig in 'Cropredy week'

Jacqui McShee's Pentangle will feature in a really special concert at The Mill Arts Centre, Banbury, on Wednesday 8 August. The concert also includes a set by Ashley Hutchings' Rainbow Chasers.

As part of Fairport's 'Forty Glorious Years' celebration, the double-header concert takes place during Cropredy week.

Pentangle, like Fairport, was one of the bands which expanded the frontiers of folk in the 1960s. Through various line-ups, the band has continued to make groundbreaking music with Jacqui McShee's unique voice always to the fore. The current line-up also features Gerry Conway on drums and percussion.

It is some years since Pentangle has appeared at Cropredy so we are delighted to present the group on the eve of the festival.

The concert will start at 7.30pm: tickets cost £20 and are on sale now from The Mill box office on 01295 279002.
